Metal Gear Rising Revengeance: In this spin-off to its flagship video game series, Hideo Kojima once again focused on the character of Raiden.

This hero was the main protagonist of Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty, however at the time he was just a recruit, still learning the ropes, and not the killing machine that became MGS 4: Guns of the Patriots.

Since the title is not a central entry in the Metal Gear Solid stealth game series, but rather a spin-off slasher, it was renamed Metal Gear Rising. Also, this time Kojima only worked as an executive producer, mainly taking care of the script and character design.

Revengeance for PC, X360 and PS3 is set four years after the conclusion of Guns of the Patriots, focusing on Raiden, who fights the cyborgs and robots of Desperado Enforcement LLC in an unspecified African country recently ravaged by civil war.
