Mortal Kombat X (MKX) is the next installment in the Mortal Kombat saga, which was released on April 14, 2015. After giving birth to a series of clues and puzzles, such as a license plate of a MKX model vehicle, or a poster in which a fractured spine can be clearly seen, the new game of the MK video game saga was confirmed.

The story of Mortal Kombat X begins 25 years after the end of Mortal Kombat (2011). The main characters in the game are Cassie Cage, Jacqueline Briggs, Takashi Takeda, and Kung Jin. They head to Outworld where they will meet fighters like Raiden, Ermac, Reptile, Kitana, Mileena, Rain, Scorpion, Sub-Zero, Kano, Sindel and new ones like Kotal Kahn, D’Vorah, Ferra / Torr, Erron Black in search for the amulet that has Shinnok locked up.

Game elements

• Each character will have three different fighting styles to choose from. Something that will completely change each fight without changing characters. Similar to the 3 Kombat Styles that were first added in Mortal Kombat: Deadly Alliance.
• Direct interaction with the scenarios. You can throw rocks, sticks, embers and even people. In addition, these techniques can be improved with the X-Ray bar.
• X-Ray movements return.
• Each character has two initial finishing moves and up to around seven can be achieved (Counting Fatalities and Brutalities).
• The Brutalities return but in a different way than how they were known. There will be more than 100 different Brutalities, and at least 5 each character.
• It has guest characters like in Mortal Kombat (2011).
• Different interaction depending on who the character is fighting. There will be different conversations depending on the character chosen.
